As I ventured into Sorrento, the aroma of freshly prepared dishes wafted through the air, promising a delightful dining experience. The menu is a treasure trove of traditional Italian flavors, showcasing a variety of signature dishes that have left patrons raving. According to Brian Poli, the Chicken and Veal Sorrento are standouts, with the latter earning praise for its tender, succulent quality. It appears that the secret lies in Sorrento's skillful preparation methods that enhance the natural flavors of the ingredients.
The restaurant also excels in seafood, with Brian highlighting their smelts as the best he’s encountered. It's a dish that's rare on menus, making it a must-try for seafood enthusiasts. Meanwhile, Rita Hansen can attest to the artistry of their pasta, particularly the delightful three mushroom pasta. Paired with a glass of malbec, it offers a rich, comforting experience—a perfect complement to the restaurant’s ambiance.
Service at Sorrento deserves a mention too. Anne Clark shared her admiration for the hardworking staff, especially on a busy Tuesday night when a single waitress and a bus boy handled the bustling crowd with commendable grace. It’s evident that the team’s dedicated service enhances the overall dining experience, making guests feel valued and appreciated.
Finishing a meal at Sorrento is an experience in itself, as Doreen Vendetti finds joy in their delectable limoncello dessert. “ Love this restaurant. Have been multiple times. Food is delicious. We took friends there last night, 5/13/25. There was only one waitress and one bus boy as the hostess went home. These two staff handled everything for the entire restaurant. The waitress even bartended. She was amazing!!! We all wanted to help her. It was very busy for a Tuesday night. “ By far my favorite italian restaurant. Food is incredible and service is friendly and attentive. We have never had a bad experience there. You will never get a better marsala dish anywhere. ”
“ Had a function with 10 people. They were very accommodating and had a great experience. Large menu, several nice specials, and solid service. Food came out timely hot and portion sizes were really big. Calamari was tender and mozzarella sticks were not greasy or chewy. Pasta, chicken and fish dishes all came out great. ”
